Patient Care Technician - Full Time - Nights - Neuro Telemetry
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician assists with patient care and provides support services to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. In a highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging environment, the technician collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide excellent patient care. This position is on the Neuro Telemetry unit and works a 12-hour night shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., three shifts per week. Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is a 294-bed, full-service acute-care hospital serving North Texas. It is certified as an Advanced Primary Stroke and Heart Attack Center by The Joint Commission and has earned two AMSN PRISM Awards for exemplary nursing practice. Requirements
- Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program or certified medical assistant program; or have one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility; or be a nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a nursing program; or have documented military experience as a medic/corpsman; or be a foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the United States.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support card required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
