Patient Care Technician - Full Time - Nights - Renal
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works in a highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care. The role assists with patient care and provides support services to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. The position is full-time, works nights, and is in Renal at Methodist Southwest Medical Center. Methodist Southwest Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service acute care teaching hospital serving communities in southwestern Dallas County. The hospital has a Level III Trauma Center and a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, among other services. It strives to have a diverse workforce that reflects the communities it serves and welcomes the skills and talents of all groups.
Requirements
- Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program or certified medical assistant program; or have one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility; or be a nursing student with documented completion of the first semester of a nursing program; or have documented military experience as a medic/corpsman; or be a foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S.
- An American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support card is required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
