Texas Health Specialty Hospital Fort Worth opened in 1989 as a separately licensed hospital on the campus of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, serving patients from Fort Worth, Arlington, and surrounding Tarrant County communities. We provide care for adult patients with medically complex conditions, including acute and chronic renal failure, prolonged respiratory illnesses, and advanced wound management requiring specialized intervention. We also safely accept patients transitioning from the intensive care unit. Our 10-bed, long-term acute care hospital offers a supportive environment where clinical expertise is used to deliver individualized care to patients with intensive nursing needs. With a low nurse-to-patient ratio, we're able to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes during our average 25-day length of stay. Texas Health Specialty Hospital Fort Worth is a Pathways to Excellence accredited facility. Our care team works collaboratively with medical staff, clinical leadership, and support personnel across the hospital. We provide our staff with the tools and support they need to deliver quality care, manage complex conditions, and guide patients through recovery. We also foster strong partnerships with physicians, referring providers, and community-based care services to ensure a patient-centered experience.
