About The Position

Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is currently seeking Patient Care Technicians (CNA) for our Perioperative Care Unit . This unit is responsible to prepare patients for surgical procedures. Patient populations include Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, and General Surgery. The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. 0.9 FTE / 32 hours per week 12 hour Evening shift / Variable schedule TBD

Requirements

Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
1+ year working in a hospital environment as a CNA strongly preferred.
Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) also required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure upon hire)
Health Care Provider CPR Certification required.
One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
