Patient Care Technician - Medical ICU - Days
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician in the Medical ICU at Glenbrook, IL, works full-time, 36 hours per week, primarily during day shifts (7am-7:30pm) with rotating weekends. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The position includes a mandatory first-week orientation from Monday to Friday during the day shift. Requirements
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.
- 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
- Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
- Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan
- Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
