About The Position

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. The MICU/ SICU is a combined medical/ surgical/ oncology intensive care unit caring for patients requiring critical care intervention and monitoring. The team cares for patients with a wide variety of infectious disease, GI, cardiac, oncology complications and respiratory conditions who require ventilator support and invasive pressure monitoring. Three 12 hour shifts per week 7pm- 7:30am (weekend and holiday requirements)

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with a registered nurse on developing a patient's care plan.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains the safety of patients who have been identified at risk for preventable injury by the implementation of nursing safety interventions or the use of protective devices/equipment under the supervision of the registered nurse.
• Reports all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
