The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides direct, age-specific care to patients in the Surgery Clinic under the direction of leadership, RN, or licensed independent practitioner. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, providing updates to the healthcare team, and delivering direct and indirect care to meet patient comfort, hygiene, and safety needs. The PCT ensures the clinical location is safe, clean, and stocked, maintains supplies and equipment, and contributes to a positive patient experience by adhering to safety goals and accurately identifying patients. They also identify and report physical and mental responses that may pose harm to the Registered Nurse, obtain and record patient information, and assist in specimen collection. Attendance at mandatory in-services and training is required, along with participation in patient safety initiatives and demonstrating ASPIRE Values and teamwork.
