About The Position

Patient Care Tech – Float Pool Unit at Providence Newberg Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends. Requirements

  • For hires after 07/26/2023: Completion of a MA program (not required to maintain certification after hire), Or Completion of first semester nursing program, Or EMT program completion (not required to maintain certification after hire) Or equivalent educ/experience, Or 1 year of acute patient care experience, Or 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment in providing clerical support related to Provider or Patient documentation or charting.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience with basic data entry. 6 months
  • Phlebotomy skills. Must be proficient.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with all members of the team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes.
  • Works independently and assists the registered nurse/nurse practitioner during clinic visits by providing the appropriate procedures.
