About The Position

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Phoenix, AZ. This per diem/PRN position involves 6:00 - 6:30 day or night shifts with compensation at $24.00 per hour plus shift differentials. The hospital is an inpatient rehabilitation facility dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with various conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The role requires at least one year of hospital PCT/nursing assistant experience. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
