About The Position
Under supervision, the Patient Care Technician performs routine non-professional and professional care. Duties include preparing equipment and post-operative kits, directing doctors and patients to appropriate rooms, assisting medical staff with patient care, performing visual field tests, setting up patients for required testing, sterilizing instruments and equipment, maintaining adequate supplies, and keeping front and back waiting rooms in order.
Requirements
- Current American Heart Association BLS certificate required.
- At least six months of prior related experience assisting with patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from a Patient Care Tech program preferred.
Responsibilities
- Unbag and bag equipment.
- Prepare post-operative kits.
- Direct doctors and patients to appropriate rooms.
