Patient Care Technician
About The Position
DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you will provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. This role involves delivering safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care, monitoring patients, setting up and maintaining equipment, recording vital signs and patient data, educating patients on treatment and kidney health, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Willing to float between local clinics if needed
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Nice To Haves
- CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record vital signs and patient data
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
