About The Position

DaVita Kidney Care is expanding its services to patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. This initiative aims to reduce the burden on patients who are transported for dialysis and lower healthcare costs. Teammates in this role will have access to DaVita's resources and will contribute to the development and growth of this new service line. The ideal candidate is experienced within DaVita, thrives in a start-up environment, is passionate about improving patient lives, and can work autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track, working in conjunction with dialysis RNs. The primary work schedule is full-time, based at a site dialysis den within Providence Place, with potential support for surrounding sites. Operations run Monday through Saturday, with scheduled days varying based on market needs. This role involves complex dialysis care, with a focus on meeting and exceeding clinical outcomes and multitasking to meet the needs of the service, patients, and SNF partners. PCTs provide comprehensive patient care independently, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring stats, observing patients, and setting up hemodialysis machines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician - CCHT is REQUIRED

Responsibilities
