About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. The system includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. This full-time Patient Care Technician position is on the BMTU and works 12-hour day shifts. The role supports compassionate, person-centered care by performing direct patient care procedures, helping with patient testing and treatment, and assisting physicians and professional staff. The technician documents and communicates effectively, maintains confidentiality, and uses time and resources to promote quality and cost outcomes.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment supply and setup.
• Assist patients with ambulation using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to protect patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
