About The Position

The Patient Care Technician will work in Nursing SICU at Maimonides Medical Center. This is a permanent, full-time position scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, from 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM, with weekdays and weekends rotating. Weekend work is required. The transfer rate listed is $30.87.

Requirements

• High school diploma or high school equivalency.
• Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program, New York State Certified Nursing Assistant program, or EMS training.
• Pass the Patient Care Technician (PCT) test with a score of 75% or greater.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in direct patient care.
• Technical skills required for patient care.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English to the extent required by the position.
