The Patient Care Technician, under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, is responsible for preparing the patient to be seen by the physician or provider. The incumbent ensures all patients are seen in an expedient and timely manner in the examination rooms in the outpatient facility. This role assists with the setting up and preparation of patient and equipment for procedures, maintains a clean and orderly environment, cleans the area after patient exams and procedures, checks patient vitals, and documents all intake information. The technician also enters patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system, reviews patient charts to ensure necessary paperwork is available, collects urine samples, and orders supplies and equipment for patient procedures. Other duties may be assigned as determined by the needs of CPMP.
