About The Position
DaVita is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. The role provides direct, hands-on care during in-center hemodialysis treatment under RN supervision. The schedule is three days per week, with 12-hour shifts. The technician may need to float between local clinics and should be available for a flexible schedule that can include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Accredited high school diploma, GED credential, or equivalent.
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment.
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet.
- Willing to float between local clinics if needed.
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Two to five years of experience as a Patient Care Technician.
- Experience in dialysis or in-center hemodialysis (ICHD).
- CNA, MA, CHT, or phlebotomy certification, or other healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment.
- Record vital signs and patient data.
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health.
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
