About The Position

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the PCT I at Franciscan performs delegated patient care activities in alignment with the age-specific and beneficial needs of the patient. PCT I is an entry-level position whose job functions include providing Activities of Daily Living, data collection, patient transporting, and answering calls. Requirements

6 Months of CNA experience Required
Nursing student with one round of clinicals completed OR Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) OR Prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma/GED- Preferred

Responsibilities

Perform activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, oral care, grooming (shaving), urinary catheter and ostomy care; assist with meals and feeding; assist with positioning, ambulation, and mobilization; assist with elimination and toileting.
Screening/Collection/Recording data & information: vital signs, intake & output, weights, specimen collection.
Restock patient room and unit supplies, perform equipment checks.
Transport patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, bassinet.
Answer patient call-lights, telephones, Vocera.
