About The Position
This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at The Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL. The position is PRN with a rotating schedule. The technician will aid with patient movement and placement, assist patients with personal care and daily living activities, report findings and changes to nursing staff, document necessary records, and maintain clean patient rooms and medical equipment.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
