About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the collaborative nursing team and supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists with patients’ daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, transfers, and personal care, and helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans. Through attention, empathy, and teamwork, the PCT helps support patient comfort, dignity, safety, and recovery.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
