Patient Care Technician - Days - PRN - Oncology
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician, working under the direction of professional staff, is responsible for assisting with patient care. This role provides essential support to patients, the nursing unit, and the professional staff within Methodist Charlton Medical Center, a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital specializing in various medical services including oncology. Methodist Health System is a faith-based organization committed to improving and saving lives through compassionate, quality healthcare, operating a network of 12 hospitals and numerous clinics.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility Or Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program Or Certified Medical Assistant program Or Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program Or Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman Or Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or EMT Certification/Paramedic License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
