About The Position

Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort and safety of patient. This role is part-time, 24 hours per week, with day shifts from 7 am to 7:30 pm, including rotating weekends and holidays. The position requires travel, as the technician will float to other women and children's units and work as a patient sitter.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Current BLS CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Certificate from an accredited nursing assistant training course (CNA); or minimum six months previous patient care experience or equivalent; or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
Strong math skills for preparing and delivering infant feedings.
Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
Proficient communication skills.
Attend in-depth orientation regarding patient care skills tasks.

Responsibilities

Floats to other women and children's units.
Floats as a patient sitter.
