About The Position

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus is offering a Patient Care Technician (PCT) Trainee program. This training includes classroom instruction, skills lab, and clinical education. Under the direction of the RN, the PCT Trainee will perform delegated patient care activities, ensuring safe, accurate, and high-quality care tailored to the age-specific needs of the patient. This entry-level position involves assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), performing limited screening, data collection, and recording, maintaining unit supplies and equipment, transporting patients, and responding to call-lights, telephones, and Vocera devices.

Requirements

  • Must provide own scrubs (royal blue)
  • Successful completion of the program is determined by an 80% pass rate or higher.

Nice To Haves

  • Assignments are based on the needs/availability at the time of program completion.
  • This program is not a CNA certification class and does not make you eligible to take the state CNA exam.
