About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Key responsibilities include assisting with basic patient care needs, supporting patient mobility and transfers, monitoring and reporting patient condition changes, documenting care, and maintaining a clean and organized patient environment. The position is located at Ascension Via Christi - Wichita, KS, within the Rehab Hospital specialty, and operates on a Day Shift PRN schedule.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School Diploma or GED OR an active CNA Certification required.
Previous experience in a caregiving role

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on assistance with basic patient care under the guidance of licensed nursing staff
Support safe patient movement, transfers, and positioning
Observe and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the nursing team promptly
Accurately document care activities and observations in patient records
Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is properly cared for and ready for use
