About The Position
This role is for a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Computerized Tomography (CT) Department at St. Vincent Indianapolis. The PCT will provide compassionate patient care, assist patients with daily personal care, hygiene, and mobility, and monitor their physical and emotional well-being. Responsibilities include reporting significant changes to nurses, accurately documenting patient care details, and maintaining clean, organized, and restocked patient rooms and basic medical equipment.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily personal care, hygiene, and mobility to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and quickly inform nurses of any significant changes.
- Record patient care details accurately to keep the nursing team informed and aligned.
- Clean, organize, and restock patient rooms and basic medical equipment for safe, efficient care.
