The Patient Care Technician (PCT) functions as an integral part of the dialysis healthcare team, providing safe and effective home dialysis therapy and training for patients. This role operates under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and training, and complying with all relevant corporate, state, and federal regulations. Key responsibilities include assisting with the setup of home dialysis equipment and maintaining a safe and clean working environment within the home therapy program. The PCT also supports the organization's commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including those focused on patient satisfaction, and actively participates in process improvement initiatives aimed at achieving the organization's Quality Enhancement Goals (QEP). All duties are performed under the direct supervision of the Home Therapies registered nurse (HT RN), in accordance with state laws, regulations, and policies.
