About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Oncology department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is part-time, working two 12-hour day shifts per week, from 7 am to 7 pm. The technician will be responsible for assisting patients with movement, personal care, and daily living activities. They will also report patient condition changes to nursing staff, document records, and maintain patient rooms and medical equipment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
1-3 years of Patient Care experience in a hospital setting.
Open availability.

Responsibilities

Aid with movement and placement of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Document necessary records.
Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
