About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Oncology department at Ascension Providence in Waco, TX. The position is full-time, with 3 12-hour shifts on the night shift. The technician will provide high-quality patient care by assisting with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and safe entry or exit protocols. They will monitor patient well-being by tracking physical, mental, and emotional changes and reporting key findings to nursing staff. Accurate documentation by maintaining precise patient records and clinical logs to support the healthcare team is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the technician will optimize environment safety by keeping patient rooms orderly and ensuring medical equipment is clean and well-maintained.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
