Why You'll Love This Unit The Observation Unit at the Gateway Campus is a 32-bed department designed to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who require short-term monitoring and care. Because patients typically stay between 8 and 24 hours, team members gain exposure to a wide variety of diagnoses and medical conditions, making this an outstanding environment for learning and professional development. Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with personal care needs such as bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
  • Supporting mobility, repositioning, transfers, and ambulation
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs and patient observations
  • Recording important patient information accurately in medical records
  • Providing compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families throughout their stay
