About The Position

Under frequent supervision, the Jet Patient Care Technician is a multi-skilled individual who provides a wide variety of clinical tasks/procedures for the patient as a member of the patient care team. The Jet PCT provides any basic patient care duties and assists with tasks to assist with the progression of the patient's plan of care; performs phlebotomy. Patients served include infant through elderly adult. The Jet PCT will float to any unit assigned. Requirements

  • Current CNA certification from MBON.
  • Two years previous experience in a similar position, or two years' experience as a PCTII, or a minimum of two (2) semesters of clinical experience in formal Nursing education with a certificate from MBON as CNA.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Satisfactory score on Written Screening Test and Competency Validation Assessment.
  • Must have at least two years' experience Patient Care Technician II role in acute care/hospital setting.
  • Have successfully completed Patient Care Technician II and Patient Care Technician III courses at the college level.
  • Can be an EMT B with documented proof of 300 direct care hours (volunteer or paid hours will be accepted).
  • Can be a CRT/Medical Corpsman with documented proof of 150 hours (volunteer or paid hours will be accepted).

Responsibilities

  • Provides a wide variety of clinical tasks/procedures for the patient as a member of the patient care team.
  • Provides basic patient care duties.
  • Assists with tasks to assist with the progression of the patient's plan of care.
  • Performs phlebotomy.
  • Floats to any unit assigned.
