In this role, you will provide hands-on clinical support and assist in delivering safe, compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. You will work closely with nurses, clinical coordinators, and Nurse Managers to support daily patient care activities, monitor patient needs, and help maintain smooth unit operations. Requirements

  • Part Time Night Shift availability up to 24 hours per week.
  • Active CNA license on the MDBON.
  • Valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or comparable clinical setting, required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced direct patient care support in a fast-paced acute care environment.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, blood glucose checks, intake/output, weights, and patient observations.
  • Perform specimen collection, venipuncture, bladder scans, EKG setup/rhythm strips, and delegated clinical support tasks.
  • Assist with urinary catheter care, wound care, trach care, suctioning, enteral feedings, and simple dressing changes.
  • Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and hourly patient rounding.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, alarms, and call lights.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with mentoring and supporting other PCT team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
