About The Position

Atlantic Medical Group Internal Medicine Gastroenterology is seeking a per diem Patient Care Technician (PCT) for weekday, daytime, shifts. The essential functions of this position include assisting patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights, assisting patients with mobility (ambulation, transfer, accommodations as needed), performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring if needed, taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and helping with minor medical procedures like wound care, vaccinations, and blood draws, if needed. The PCT will observe and report changes in patients’ condition to the RN, prepare examination rooms as needed, and document patient information and data, including vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature. They will also be responsible for preparing, organizing, and efficiently utilizing supplies and equipment, maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory, and performing all other duties as assigned. The Patient Care Technician must be willing and able to work with a diverse group of patients, each with unique healthcare needs, and possess attentiveness to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights
