Patient Care Technician/CNA (.75 FTE / Days)
About The Position
Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician/CNA for its Critical Care Department. This 31-bed unit specializes in open heart/thoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, pulmonary, and general medical-surgical care. The department fosters teamwork, patient advocacy, and self-care, and has received AACN's Silver Beacon Award of Excellence. The role is .75 FTE, working 60 hours per two-week pay period on 12-hour day shifts. The medical center is a 349-bed, nonprofit regional medical center known for award-winning, compassionate, and patient-centered care, and was the first Level III Trauma Center on the Eastside.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience
- Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required
- Medical Assistant Registration (MA-R) required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure after hire)
- Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (BLS) required
Nice To Haves
- One-year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
