About The Position
Seeking passionate Patient Care Techs / Certified Nursing Assistants who are committed to delivering great patient care to hospital patients. This is a great opportunity to work alongside our nursing, respiratory, and rehabilitation teams in an acute-care setting. Landmark Hospital values our Patient Care Techs as a significant part of our patients' care as they journey toward healing. Landmark Joplin is a 17-bed LTACH and 12-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit, providing a variety of duties throughout the workday.
Requirements
- Current BLS - Required upon hire
- 1 year healthcare experience (hospital-level experience highly preferred)
- Must be organized, a team player, and detail-oriented
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification (Certified Nursing Assistant for the State of Missouri)
Responsibilities
- Perform basic care skills under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse, including vital signs, intake/output measurement, catheter care, CPR, restraint management, bowel and bladder training, and documentation of care in the patient record.
- Responsible for assisting the licensed nurses in meeting the patients' needs in the areas of personal hygiene, personal care, skin care, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, body mechanics, elimination, and psychosocial support.
