About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide hands-on dialysis care in a hospital setting. This is a PRN position where you will deliver one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease. You will monitor and record vital signs, set up dialysis machines, and observe treatment. Additionally, you will support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care and educate patients on dialysis-related topics. You will collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Dialysis experience is required
- CCHT certification is required
- Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 12+ hours)
- Flexibility to float between facilities as needed
Nice To Haves
- Previous healthcare experience a plus (CNA, MA, Phlebotomy, CHT, BONENT certified)
