Patient Care Technician - Acute Dialysis CCHT
About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide hands-on dialysis care in a hospital setting. This role involves delivering one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease, monitoring and recording vital signs, setting up dialysis machines, observing treatment, and supporting patients physically and emotionally throughout their care. The technician will also educate patients on dialysis-related topics and collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members. This is a full-time, day shift position with a float opportunity in the Muskegon & Grand Rapids, MI area.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 12+ hours)
- Flexibility to float between facilities as needed
- CHT, BONENT certified
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.
