About The Position

Regional SurgiCenter is hiring a full time Patient Care Tech. Regional SurgiCenter is an advanced Endoscopy Suite specializing in the examination of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. It is an outpatient, ambulatory surgery center providing a dynamic environment for healthcare professionals. The Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. They maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment, assist during patient examinations and procedures, obtain and record patient vital signs, provide nutritional intake, and report results and observations. The primary goal is to efficiently provide surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. USPI partners with physicians and healthcare systems to provide first-class ambulatory solutions throughout the United States, committed to providing surgical services in the most efficient and clinically excellent manner. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current CPR or BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • C.N.A, Medical Assistant or other certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.

Responsibilities

  • Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
  • Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for peri-operative nursing care according to accepted standards
  • Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge in aseptic technique.
  • Demonstrates ability to understand the unique needs of each age group of the patient population.
  • Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
  • Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior.
  • Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
  • Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations.
  • Informs Manager of applicable day-to-day situations.
  • Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
