About The Position
Patient Care Technician position in the 24-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit at St. Peter's Hospital. The role involves assisting registered nurses with patient arrival and emergence from anesthesia, transporting patients to the next phase of care, performing bedside procedures, and stocking and organizing patient care areas. The work involves significant lifting, pushing and pulling, and standing. The position is full-time, daytime, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses with patient arrival and emergence from anesthesia.
- Transport patients to the next phase of care.
- Perform bedside procedures, including ECGs and fingersticks.
- Reposition patients.
- Stock and organize patient care areas.
