About The Position

The Nursing Support Technician (NST) participates as a member of the healthcare team in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the NST performs delegated patient care and procedures, observes, reports, and records patient conditions and information, and assists the healthcare team with specific treatments and procedures in an acute care facility. The position is for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mercy Medical Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA license on file with the state of Maryland.
• Healthcare Provider-level CPR.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Under Registered Nurse supervision, perform delegated patient care and procedures.
• Observe, report, and record patient conditions and information.
• Assist the healthcare team with specific treatments and procedures in an acute care facility.
