About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) on the Med Surg Unit collaborates with nurses and doctors to provide personalized care for patients. They are responsible for checking vital signs, assisting patients with daily living activities such as moving around, getting dressed, and eating, collecting samples like urine, and reporting any changes in a patient's condition to a nurse. The PCT also performs tasks like walking patients, assisting with ADLs, and weighing patients. Working under the supervision of a nurse, the PCT ensures tasks are performed safely and correctly.
