About The Position

This role is in the Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital. The Patient Care Tech will deliver compassionate, direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living and mobility to ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety. They will act as a critical line of defense by observing and reporting changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional status to the nursing team for rapid, proactive care. The role also involves accurately and efficiently documenting patient care journeys to maintain seamless communication across the healthcare team and ensure high-quality records. Additionally, the Patient Care Tech will maintain a safe, welcoming, and sterile environment by managing room cleanliness and equipment readiness, directly contributing to superior infection control and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
