Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Patient Care Tech (PCT), you will provide essential, basic-level patient care and support within our clinic setting, directly enhancing patient comfort and well-being. You will be a critical member of the patient care team, assisting nurses and physicians with direct patient care tasks and contributing to efficient workflow management. Every day you will perform a variety of patient-related care tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, oral care, and feeding. You will obtain and record vital signs, monitor daily intake and output, and collect various specimens (both non-invasive body fluids and blood).

Requirements

  • Completion of nursing assistant program, or EMT program, or completion of first block of nursing program
  • Emergency Medical Technician: AZ
  • Certified Nursing Assistant: AZ
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR

Responsibilities

  • Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested
  • Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies
  • Assists in patient/equipment preparation
  • Performs follow-up actions as directed
  • Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols
  • Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas
