About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Kalamazoo Endo Center. The role supports patient safety and the efficient flow of the center. The technician protects patients from injury, operates equipment safely, follows procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe situations, and adheres to standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Complete a BLS course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Patient Care Technician (PCT) credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources.
• Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and machinery, and follow procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe situations.
• Adhere to standard precautions, including using personal protective equipment.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the center’s flow and efficiency.
