About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for PRO Surgery Center. The role supports safe patient care and efficient center operations. The organization is part of Optum and operates a network of ambulatory surgical centers, specialty physician practice clinics, labs, and surgical hospitals.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Complete a Basic Life Support (BLS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification.
Responsibilities
- Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources.
- Operate equipment and machinery safely, and follow procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe situations.
- Adhere to standard precautions, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the flow and efficiency of the center.
