About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the General Medical-Surgical unit at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is part-time, with two 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7 pm to 7 am. The Patient Care Tech will perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision, including aiding with patient movement and placement, assisting with personal care and daily living activities, reporting findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff, and maintaining a clean and orderly patient environment and medical equipment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Patient Care Tech experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
Aid with movement and placement of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
