About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs. The role serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs and is cross-trained as a Unit Associate or Monitor Technician. The PCT also helps maintain a safe and clean unit environment and performs other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time, night-shift position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $6,000, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent and Nursing Assistant coursework.
• Nursing Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant or at least 1 year of CNA experience.
• CPI certification is due within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

• Basic EKG qualification if cross-trained as a Monitor Technician; successful completion of the GSMC EKG test is required for this cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer service.

• Provides leadership, including serving as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs.
