About The Position

This Part-Time position allows the incumbent to serve the facility in multiple ways. Not only will they function as a traditional CNA/PCT, but they will also be trained to work as a monitor tech and as a scope reprocessing tech. If you have interest in a position that offers variety, this may be for you. This position will work Two (2) 12-hour shifts per week, with days varying based on workload and department needs. Employees will also be required to be available for Four (4) weekend shifts within each six (6)-week period. This position requires a commitment to teamwork, collaboration and department scheduling needs i.e. good attendance, attitude, customer services, communication skills, etc. Special Conditions: Position is Safety Sensitive / Drug Free Workplace / COVID Vaccination Requirements.

Requirements

• Must hold Arizona CNA or LNA or CEMT certification to apply OR completed the TMC Patient Care Technician Training Program.
• Current, Unrestricted state licensure as a C.N.A. or L.N.A. from Arizona State Board of Nursing, OR completed the TMC Patient Care Technician Certificate Program
• Current CPR or BLS (American Heart Association) Required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements and medical terminology.
• Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation, and positive interactions with all patients/clients, employees, staff, providers, and vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong customer service skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive communication skills; ability to successfully interact with all customers; continuous demonstration of courteous, cooperative and service orientated behavior.
• Supports and maintains a culture of safety, quality and positive patient experience.
• Basic computer skills, and ability to use office equipment to include but not limited to copy machine, faxes, EMR, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing to patients within the Patient Care Technician's scope of practice, and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or nursing unit.
• Responsible for continuous observation of patients’ monitors, leads and/or activity and behaviors, and for reporting pertinent changes and abnormalities to the appropriate clinical staff. This position is also responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards.
• Responsible for the cleaning, high-level disinfection and maintenance of GI scopes and equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and established infection control policies and procedures. Coordinates cleaning and procedure room set-up between patients. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff rendering professional care to patients undergoing endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures. Exhibits teamwork characteristics and good communication.
