About The Position
The Patient Care Technician performs various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Requirements
- Less than 1 Year of Experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Nice To Haves
- Helpful to have a positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Ability to work with other healthcare professionals, like nurses and physicians, is key to better patient care.
Responsibilities
- Collect and record patient data, record vital signs and help patients with activities of daily living (ADL).
- Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
- Help with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharges.
- Take care of patient personal hygiene and help with patient clean up.
- Comply with Baylor Scott and White policies and procedures.
