About The Position

The Patient Care Tech assists nursing and receptionist staff with welcoming and rooming patients and helping them with their health care needs. For clinic patients, the position works under the supervision of a nurse, medical assistant, provider, advanced practice clinician, and clinic leadership. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, and analytical skills.
Grammar and spelling skills.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
Ability to use computer software applicable to documenting in patient records.
Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and appropriately manage anger, fear, hostility, or violence in others.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, work alone, and work in confined and/or crowded areas.
Ability to distinguish colors, hear alarms, telephones, recording devices, and normal speaking voices, and demonstrate manual dexterity and eye/hand/foot coordination.
Ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly.
Ability to stand 4–6 hours per day, sit 2–3 hours per day, walk 3–4 hours per day, and perform repetitive tasks or motions.
Ability to meet the stated vision requirement.
