About The Position

This role involves delivering essential, high-quality direct patient care, assisting with personal needs and activities of daily living to promote patient comfort, dignity, and independence. The Patient Care Tech will document the patient care journey, accurately recording vital signs and interventions to maintain high-quality records that support the multidisciplinary care team. They will also communicate critical changes in a patient’s physical or emotional status to the nursing staff immediately to ensure timely, informed clinical intervention and patient safety. Additionally, the role supports patient safety and mobility by skillfully assisting with patient movement, placement, and transport, ensuring a secure and comforting experience across all care transitions. The technician will maintain a safe, clean, and orderly patient environment, ensuring supplies and essential medical equipment are in immediate readiness for use.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
