About The Position

Here at Vista Specialty Hospital our Patient Care Technicians - PCT are members of the healthcare team who provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel. The Patient Care Technicians - PCT is responsible for various patient care activities and related non-licensed services necessary in caring for the personal safety and comfort of the patient. The Patient Care Technicians - PCT performs procedures requiring specific training in technical skills after completion of competencies established by Nursing Administration.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS required.
• EMT, Med-Surg Tech, Critical Care Tech, PCT, CNA/GNA with at least 1 year’s acute care or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel.
• Perform various patient care activities and related non-licensed services necessary in caring for the personal safety and comfort of the patient.
• Perform procedures requiring specific training in technical skills after completion of competencies established by Nursing Administration.
